The surface on which the composition is to be painted can be:
- A canvas worked on in Sylvie’s own studio and then stretched/pasted in the chosen location; or
- The final surface itself (furniture, wall, ceiling, door, etc.), suitably prepared and primed.
The type of paints used will be determined by the site (e.g., interior v external walls, etc.) and the surface material; in all instances, a final coat of protective varnish is applied.
